Performing Arts Camps St. Louis

Looking for performing arts camps St. Louis has to offer? Abra-Kid-Abra is proud to offer 5 different performing arts camps.

Performing Arts Camps St. Louis

In each of our performing arts camps, the campers put on a show for their families the last day in which they star! The show is the culmination of the week’s work.  Kids are proud of their performances in the show, as are parents!  Parents often tell us that in addition to the week ending show, they enjoy a nightly show of the new tricks their child learned!

Magic Mystery Camp

magic mystery camp

A combination of magic and theater. Campers create and put on their own mystery, weaving magic into the production.

Theater Camp, Drama Camp, Acting Camp for Kids St. Louis

Our Magical Mystery Camp is a theater camp with magic woven in. Campers write a mystery play, develop characters, and put their mystery show for their families the final day of camp. In addition to learning drama and acting skills, they learn to do some magic as well!

Our kids comedy camp is also a theatrical camp. Campers learn improv, stand-up, and sketch comedy. The improv comedy is similar to theater games often played in theater camps. Campers learn to think on their feet, and to bring out the sense of humor within them. The sketch comedy is short, comical skits that campers act in. The stand up comedy, of course, teaches presentation skills, timing, and comedic presence.

The magic and circus camps also teach presentation skills and include short theatrical skits that the campers learn.

Public Speaking for Kids

stand up comedy

Next to death and taxes, public speaking is one of the biggest fears of many adults.  Create a comfort with public speaking for kids at an early age, and they are less apt to be fearful of it later on.  Our performing arts camps help develop skills in public speaking for kids without them knowing! This parent comment is typical of many that we are proud to receive:

Logan loved learning the tricks and showing off his new skill.  The self confidence he gained by performing before a crowd is wonderful.
–Southwestern IL College for Kids parent

Communications Skills for Kids

Our performing arts camps St. Louis are a great way for kids to develop their communications skills, presentation skills and confidence.

As a parent, I enjoyed the confidence my child gained from class, performing in front of others.
