“When you drop a playing card on the table”, you demonstrate to a spectator, “it lands on 1 side or the other. Can you drop it, from a height of at least 1 foot, so it lands on its edge?”
Bend the card (90 degrees, widthwise). Carefully drop it and it should land on edge! It’s best to use a joker, so you don’t ruin a good card. You can also do this with a business card, index card, small piece of cardboard, etc.

Back to school time is coming, so how about a quick word puzzle? Can you think of a word with 3 u’s in it?
Can you make 1 coin equal $1? Can you make 2 coins equal $1? 3 coins? 4? Etc. up to 10 coins equaling $1?
Get 6 cups and fill 3 with water. Set the 6 cups in a row on the table so that the first 3 are filled with water, and the last 3 are empty. Challenge: In just 1 move, can you make it so every other cup is filled with water?
